NACCA Webinar Series - Episode Nine - Understanding Your Financial Information Join us October 27 at 7pm (EDT) for the ninth show in our series: Crisis Recovery for you, the Indigenous Entrepreneur. Our topic for this webinar will be understanding the financial information relating to successful business operations. Finance is the language of business. Your financial information tells you how you are doing in your business. It tells you what parts of your business are workin...g well and which need attention. It tells you the results of any experiments or trials or new offers you are running. At any one time, there are 1-3 numbers you should be tracking and those numbers change based on what is most important in your business. Things such as profit, margins, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, expenses, bank balance, cash flow. Many of these can be reported by the customer, product/service, or time to give you even more granular and relevant information. In this webinar, you’ll hear from two accomplished women who have made it their life’s work to help you understand what your business financial information is telling you. You’ll find out how to get the quality information you need, how to decide what numbers to track at any time, and how to use your numbers to make SMART decisions in your business. Please join us for this Zoom webinar hosted by NACCA. Registration is free here: https://us02web.zoom.us//3016013/WN_8OSxNVjlSKWSACR8JVQHKg

WAW! We are thrilled to announce our partnership with We Are Womxn. We Are Womxn (WAW) is a national digital-first initiative empowering Indigenous, Black, Womxn of Color, and LGBTQ2S+ womxn-identifying food & beverage entrepreneurs in all of the Canadian provinces and territories through one-on-one mentorships, grant opportunities, a business interview series, and other transformative offerings to be announced later this year. COVID-19 has exponentially exacerbated the barri...ers womxn in Canada face to starting, scaling, and succeeding in business, particularly in the food and beverage industry. Access to capital, systemic racism, gender stereotypes, and sexism affect Indigenous and LGBTQ2S+ womxn-identifying persons at an even higher rate. This year, NACCA committed to supporting Indigenous womxn's entrepreneurship, with the goal of increasing the number of Indigenous women entrepreneurs accessing financing through the AFI network by 50% by 2025. To learn more about WAW and get involved, contact [email protected]. This is the next chapter for Womxn Supporting Womxn In Food, an interview series with mentorship and grant opportunities created by Marissa Bronfman and Shot of Gold in April 2020. Bookmark wearewomxn.ca and stay tuned for more. #IndigenousProsperity
