Find your reason, why and purpose and you’ll never look back on anything you do. #passion #purpose #why #reason #fitness
We all have one side stronger than the other, which is why training your body with a unilateral exercises is great to incorporate into your workout routine. Training with single leg or single arm movement helps with the following. helps both sides become stronger. prevents your dominate side from overtraining. improves balance and coordination. Try pairing a unilateral exercises with a bilateral exercise to get the most out of your workout.
Finishing off the night with my version of a nightcap a workout + 3000m row and a #fitbattle finisher (your best wave slam reps in 30 seconds)....#96reps...#naccfitness #fitacademy #fit365 #fitness #fit #consistent #alwaystraining #train #trainer
Modified goblet squats. Really helps you when you’re nursing a bit of a back pain. You can also get a little bit heavier than just a regular goblet squat!
All you need is a TRX, an engaged core and some focus. If you’re injured on your lower body, you don’t need to give up on fitness, you just need a plan of action. Superset a few upper body exercises together and get a sweat on ... 10 TRX push ups 10 TRX does 10 TRX bicep pulls Repeat 3-4 times and get a sweat on!
A little reminder that meal prepping doesn’t need to take hours on hours. Once you get the hang of it, it could only take you 31 minutes . #mealprep #food #nutrition #mealprep101 #setyourselfupforsuccess
The benefits of strength training and getting older. Mobility Strength Mental awareness ... Take a read from a couple of my past Client
The coolest shot ever thanks to @jmani78 ! #naccfitness travelled to #napal and trekked the #langtangvalley ! I always love watching people smash their goals
Shout out to @jen.stanc for staying consistent and rocking her workouts. I may be a sub par DJ but at least beating up your trainer at the end of your workout is an option . I think we’ll let DJSalls keep the tunes rolling.
I’ve learnt over the years, that not everyone’s squat form is the same. It’s important for your trainer to check and re check your squat form occasionally. Assessing clients before they start their training with me is something I take pride in. It allows me to understand what their bodies need vs. Guessing. Thanks @sallingfitacademy for letting me practice what I learnt through @functionalmvmt . #functionaltraining #training #fitnessassessment #fitness #fit365 #backsquats
Thanks to @tricitiescoc for putting on the nominee luncheon this past Tuesday. It’s always nice to be recognized in what you are passionate about and love to do.
Sometimes I take off the #nikes and #lululemons and throw on some heels and a skirt. Thankful to be nominated today for the young professional of the year with Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce
A late start with clients this morning had me firing up my core before training @kimberlyhelmankachmar and @courtney_helman. Stacking my shoulders over top of the balls and stabilizing my core allows for an easy knee drive into chest.
Saturday morning training. Took a little run this morning with T-Dawg prior to taking on clients and now I’m training before my last Client gets here. Lunges with a focus on my back and arms as well. I love full body exercises, gets the job done and forces me to stay focused while training to ensure proper form.
Happy Halloween
When your best friend supports your business and understands when you cancel last minute to work a bit more . Find yourself a best friend / sister and don’t let go . Ps. Really hoping you weren’t the only one who voted ... Lora Appleby
Find that core stability and focus on your full body.
One of my favourite assisted back exercises. Targets your back muscles, shoulders, triceps, biceps and core.
Don’t forget to stretch !
Always look forward, never look back. October 1st time to focus on your goals and get ready to finish off your year.
Couples who train together, stay together
I use to heavily rely on coffee, a lot of it. Slowly, I started changing my mindset to relying on coffee to enjoying it. Don’t worry, quad Americanos are still welcomed anytime , but I don’t need them to start my morning. Greens + BCAA’s + 2 cups of water and being thankful for everything I have is how I start my mornings now.
Speed Demon! So proud of how far this human has come in a year. I barely recognize her! I love my job.
@naccfitness all the way out in #alberta .
Lunge it, slow and steady. Protect your knees and have a strong focus on your glutes + quads and hamstrings while you lunge. Don’t forget to engage your core.
Core work for days
Working that core, shoulder mobility, opening up those hip flexor can all be achieved when doing this exercise. Studying the body is fascinating to me, and giving exercises that allow the full body to be engaged is something I love doing for clients.

Everyone loves burpees !
Focus on the forward. Be better than yesterday and Stronger than last week.
Running + cross training go hand in hand. As runners we tend to forget to strengthen our entire bodies and focus more so on our legs. Core + back strengthening are also great tools to becoming a better more efficient runner.
Addicted to squatting basically my entire time in a gym. I Always thought it was the best way to get that booty perky and legs mean. It wasn’t until throwing in lunges, plyometrics, band work and step ups did I really see the change in my lower half. Strength and definition wise. Step ups are one of my favourite exercises. Working the hamstrings, glutes, core and ankle mobility. A little lean forward on a higher step up, gets right into your hip flexors with a great stretch.
A decline step up, working on stability, core and strengthening the quads.
Be flexible, be strong and be able to set your mind to anything your heart desires. Shout out to @bren.v.yogi for becoming a Yoga instructor and cross training her body with weights and conditioning.
Step outside your comfort zone. Do the things you never thought were possible.
Love the women who train @naccfitness Repost from @julihalliwell using @RepostRegramApp - Who'd of thought a year and a half ago that I'd be enjoying a vacation based on fitness @liznacc? #naccfitness #mountainbiking #sohotinthedesert
First attempt at pull ups . I love watching people develop and change their bodies through fitness and health!
Opening up those shoulders + arms and core as a warm up before working the upper body with weights. Holding that core tight, slowly lower those legs to the ground while rotating the shoulders forward and back. I love helping women develop and strengthen their upper bodies.
A little throw back on a Monday.... The importance of weight training and working out goes beyond aesthetics. Workout for your body, mind and soul and to be able to live longer. ... Click the link below and take a read!
Sometimes I like to get creative with workouts !
A little runners conditioning for these two upcoming New York Marathon Runners. Full body workout, core + hamstrings + glutes.
Shout out to the badass mama @deesparling ! Congrats on your triathlon yesterday!
Core, and stability are the key to seeing results in lifting heavier and more efficiently. You can lift heavy for days on days but if you’re avoiding doing accessory work, then you may be missing out. Try this one out. Make sure your core is engaged, shoulders are stacked overtop of your hands and you’re stable before going into that slow Mountain climber move.
Just when @mckchristine didn’t think she had anything left in her body, I threw this at her. A little explosive, legs, arms and core work to complete her session this morning. Great job!
A little father daughter duo from yesterday’s. I loved watching @rorymmorgan daughter dominate her workout. An amazing dancer @pulsedancecentre who conditions herself off season in order to be her absolute best while dancing during the year.
Monday morning and a little conditioning to finish off @mghings session.
What’s it going to be, understanding fitness + health and wellness 365 days a year or short term results. Only you can decide how it’s going to be. Shout out out @kimberlyhelmankachmar who completely transformed her life from short term goals on a vicious cycle to understanding her bodies needs and living out a healthy lifestyle. Proud of you!
When things are no longer a challenge for someone, what do you do? You increase the level of intensity. Core / balance and stability are all needed for Med ball box jumps. Great job @missalannahp on this exercise!
Stretch!! Always remember to stretch out the stiff areas on your body in order to properly perform. Always stretch when your body is warmed up. A great stretch is shown here. Use a band, place your tricep into the band and slowly push your body into the band. You will feel that stretch through your lats (see area circled).
Get outside and enjoy your long weekend filled with sunshine, family and friends.
Busy mamas like @jac_wing_morrow and @loraappleby appreciate getting all the muscle groups worked in one session. As much as isolating one muscle group is amazing, sometimes time doesn’t allow us. Don’t have time for multiple days at the gym? Focus on your full body vs just one body party twice a week and watch your body transform. Chest and shoulders are the primary muscle groups being used while the core + hamstrings + Glutes are engaged and activated. ... #naccfitness #personaltraining #smallgroup #portcoquitlam #coquitlam #portmoody #pittmeadows #momswhoworkout #training #fitness #nutrition #chestpress #chestflys #momswholift #momswithmuscle See more
Out running on a warm Tuesday evening !
Love making @mckchristine stronger by pushing into trying new exercises. A little suspended plank, lowered into a tricep hold. Hold that core tight and activate your glutes before lowering yourself slowly. Great way to use your full body on one exercise. ... #portcoquitlam #portmoody #personaltraining #groupfitness #fitness #personaltrainer #core #fitness #nutrition #strongwomen #nutritioniskey #lift #glutes #shoulders #coquitlam #pittmeadows See more
