Silence kills anyone with anxiety. It creates problems in their mind that aren’t even there. It ends in apologies that aren’t even needed. And it adds a layer of stress to their life they wish they could control.

Makes me have hope that the vision so many of us share in breaking of cycles in our families can happen, despite financial and socioeconomic barriers. We can support the youth who have innocently been placed in a system that usually doesn’t support them enough to walk back into the world confidently. I am praying really hard that it will work out for me and my partner to be a part of this dream and the future ones of Niginan Housing Ventures!... This is the stuff. My work is beautiful and can be as simple as calming down the nervous system so people can work through their pain. I use the word simple, lightly, but it truly is just holding space gently for someone so they can do what they need to do. Whether I’m using needles, pressure, cups, my hands, or talking- it’s amazing what a simple thing can do to help someone.
