Did you know that Nagagamisis is an amazing spot to go birding? Located in the Boreal Forest, we are in what’s called the songbird factory. Many of the birds you see down south in the spring actually spend several months up north. Characterized by vast expanses of forests, lakes, and spruce bogs, the boreal is a beautiful and stark ecosystem. With an abundance of insects mixed with this unique ecosystem, we are at the heart of a birding paradise. ... Next time you take a walk down Time Trail, Shaganash Trail, or Chapel Road- listen to hear the many songs and calls of the birds that call our Park their home Picture 1- American Redstart Picture 2- White-throated Sparrow Picture 3- Bald Eagle (immature) All photographs were taken by a camper!
