Hi everyone, Sorry for the long delay in reaching back out to get us started for the year. There have been some changes we have been rolling with and a few hurdles in getting started. In saying that I would like to also introduce a new coach, Ian Bower. Ian and I have coached Midget AAA and Bantam AAA in Halifax in the past and he has worked with Stephan in the Dartmouth system as well. Ian has coached at a high level for decades now and also played a long career in the NS Se...nior League. Our next coming together will be Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 for the Atlantic Indigenous Games at St. Mary's University in Halifax. We are not competing but we will be practicing, doing some fitness training, attending some workshops and doing some team building activities. I know some of our athletes have conflicts during this time but I am hoping that enough can make it so that we can have some good practice time and fun together. Please let me know if you can make it or not as soon as possible so I can ensure everyone who needs a room has one. If anyone has allergies or medical conditions I should be aware of please send me that info too as we would like to be prepared. Check in time at Saint Mary's will be Friday July 11 at 2:30 pm. Once I know who is coming I will send a rooming list with more details about our schedule for the weekend. The coaching staff is beginning to arrange for some exhibition games against bluenose league teams. We hope to have two double headers a month in July, August and September and enter into at least one tournament. We will also build practice time and a nutrition and fitness routine for our athletes to follow when we are not together as well. Our goal is to be able to provide a schedule for July and August at the event in Halifax. We still have some room to look at some more athletes as well so please still feel free to put perspective athletes in touch with us.
