Do you ever dream of designing and building your own high performance custom home? Well our clients Neil & Kane are making that dream a reality. Naikoon first met with Neil & Kane to discuss their project at the end of September and now only 2 months and 15 days later we’ve assembled a fantastic team of professionals and submitted the Building Permit Application. Many firsts and definitely a record achievement to coordinate all the requirements in such a short amount of time.... The home was designed and drawn entirely by our Neil and will include a suite and coach house. Over the next few months, as we await the processing of the permit, the real work begins in full detailing and defining the project through our virtual construction process and clarifying all the numerous little details upfront. With the heavy lifting done in pre-construction, we reduce uncertainty and strive for maximum efficiency in the construction phase of the project. See more

Our clients from our Edgemont Net Zero Passive House have just moved in and we’re so happy that they will be able to spend their first Christmas in their new custom home! While they are settling in, our crew is finishing up the pool and hot tub and our friends from The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd. are working on completing the landscaping and it’s looking absolutely incredible! Another successful AeroBarrier application by the Airtight Solutions Inc. team at our #ph1 project. Very happy with a final airtightness result of 0.39ACH@50pa which will be crucial to achieve the Passive House certification! Thanks to Airtight Solutions for introducing us to this cutting-edge envelope sealing system and helping us achieve those awesome ACH numbers

Our latest renovation project formerly coined the Bridge House by renowned architect firm Lamoureux Architects is our featured renovation project. The house was designed in 2013 and completed in 2016 for then owner, who was a race car enthusiast. @synthesisdesign Design introduced us to the new owners of this property to help assist in a minor renovation which consists of a new west wing layout, swimming pool modifications and an upgraded landscape design from @donohoedesign. The scope of work also includes some energy upgrades, customized automation programming, refurbishing the exterior cladding, and some cool lighting upgrades. We wish we could throw a huge party to celebrate our 40 year anniversary, which is unfortunately not possible right now, but we promise we’ll do it as soon as it is safe again!

One of the last project updates of our Waterfront #Netzero project by our awesome Construction Manager, Pat! The last month has seen the finishing trades rolling through and "getting it done". Light fixtures, carpet, a home theatre to rival Cineplex is rocking (the seats actually have built-in subwoofers!!). The solar is active and charging our Tesla power walls as well as feeding the house. The cleaners are in the house for preliminary cleaning and final inspections are ge...tting ticked off the list. The good weather has had all the plants taking root outside and the grass is filling in nicely. Now that’s what we call a busy job site but thanks to a really productive pull-planning session with our sub-trades and Naikoon staff a few months ago, we’re right on schedule to hand over this project to our clients in less than two weeks!! . .
