Attention, swing dancers. Sorry to say we have to cancel our WCS line dance workshops. The rising numbers of Covid19 cases, even here on the island, have resulted in tightened restrictions, and Public Health has confirmed that our line dance activity is now "out". So no workshops this Friday, November 13. When we get the green light for anything related to west coast swing we will be sure to let you know! Stay safe.

Hey, swing dancers! Thank you to everyone who turned out for our line dance workshops on October 30. The feedback was positive so we are doing it again! Mark your calendars for Friday November 13 at Legion 256. To gain from our experience, the next workshops will be "Beyond Beginner" in the first session at 7 pm, and the 9 pm session will be "Beginner" level. As before, admission will be $10 and by advance registration only - email [email protected] to reserve your... spot - and we will work on the Robaukauskas WCS line dance that includes both lead and follow footwork for 5 basic steps. As usual, we ask that you follow the current Covid19 safety procedures, don't come if you have any symptoms, and wear a mask at all times inside the hall. We will have you well spaced (so a limit on attendance) and have the hall sanitized for you. There is a small change to the schedule for the workshop this Friday. Due to popular demand and strong registration we will have 2 sessions. Due to the Covid19 Public Health orders we need to have a 1 hour space between sessions for sanitizing. So there is the first session from 7 to 8 pm (close to full), or the second session, now from 9 to 10 pm, to choose from. Email [email protected] to reserve your spot.

The instructors will be Mario Robau and Brian B on the big screen, teaching the famous Robaukauskis WCS Line Dance - a great way to dust off the basic moves for both lead and follow steps. We are planning 2 sessions: from 7 to 8 pm, and from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.... You know you will have to wear a Covid mask, and for Halloween lets make it a scary mask!
