Anyone need some virtual "tuning up" with their ukulele playing?

WE HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL THE 2020 NANAIMO UKULELE FESTIVAL. IT SEEMS UNLIKELY THAT ANY LARGE GATHERINGS WILL TAKE PLACE THIS YEAR, SO WE HAVE CANCELLED THE EVENT. VICTORIA VOX AND EDUARDO GARCIA HAVE KINDLY BOTH AGREED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2021 FESTIVAL, WHICH WILL MOST LIKELY TAKE PLACE MID-SEPTEMBER 2021.... IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED TICKETS, YOU WILL RECEIVE A REFUND SHORTLY.

We have decided to suspend ticket sales for the September 2020 Ukulele Festival. We are waiting to see how the COVID-19 situation progresses over the next month or so before we make a final decision as to whether it makes sense to cancel this year's Festival. If you have already bought tickets, thank you. If we do decide, in an abundance of caution, to cancel the Festival, you will receive a full refund.... Keep well, stay indoors and uke on.

We have had to postpone the planned March 22nd Sing and Strum event. The venue we use, The Neighbourhood Church, has cancelled all services and events owing to COVID-19 concerns. We'll let you know when we've chosen a new date. Online ticket sales will still be launched at 10.00am on Monday March 23rd

This year we are excited to announce an additional event for the Nanaimo Ukulele Festival. We will be holding a Sing & Strum on Sunday March 22nd 2020 at The Neighbourhood Church, Nanaimo to launch ticket sales for the 2020 Festival The event takes place between 2.00 4.00pm and is by donation... Anyone purchasing concert or workshop tickets at this event gets a free Nanaimo Ukulele Festival bag The Sing and Strum will be led by members of the Revolving Doors. Lyrics and chords will be projected onto a screen, so you can leave your music stands at home. If you just want to sing, that’s OK too. Bring cash, cheques or credit card to purchase tickets Full details of the September 18th & 19th Festival events will be on the website by mid-February

A look back at some highlights of the 2019 Festival

Hi Carol here. I want to send out a great big thank you to everyone who came out to the Nanaimo Ukulele Festival this September 13 and 14th. It is with your generous support and your involvement that this festival continues to be a "Great Little Festival." I really enjoyed connecting with those people who came back again this year and meeting many new people. We are already planning for the 2020 Nanaimo Ukulele Festival. Stay tuned.
