With the coming New Year comes a season of change for Nanaimo United FC's staff. Check out our recent posts for some exciting comings and bittersweet goings at the club. . Please join us in welcoming Cara Dunlop, our new U4-U8 Club Lead! Cara is no stranger to Nanaimo United FC and we are excited to have her on board in this new role. . Cara currently plays with NUFC's Premier Women and is captain of the VIU Mariners Women. She is a CCAA silver medalist and a PacWest provin...cial champion. She grew up in Nanaimo playing for HCFC (NUFC's predecessor) and Storm before playing women's soccer following her 2018 graduation from Dover Bay Secondary School. . Cara is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Education with a minor in Kinesiology. She is passionate about helping young athletes to become physically literate and develop a life-long passion for sports and recreation. Her passion for coaching was inspired by the many coaches who mentored her during her youth playing career, and she believes that through sport, children can learn essential life skills that will benefit them well beyond their playing days. . We would like to give a round of thanks to Megan Dial who has served as our Member Services Coordinator this past year as she moves away from Nanaimo and begins the next stage of her career! Megan guided the club through a tumultuous end-of-season in 2020 and worked tirelessly to ensure programming for 2020-21 was safely set up for our members. . Best of luck Megan, we will miss you on the field and in the clubhouse!
