Your gut never lies. Why are we attracted to a piece of art more than another? Could it be because it speaks to us? To our heart, to our gut? @alpha_art_gallery there currently is a show till December 6th by artist Marc Grandbois. When I saw the gallery's posts I was immediately attracted to this painting. Who doesn't like the fresh ocean air, the sound of crashing waves and the warmth of the sun? In my bio I mention upcycling but rarely show any projects of mine. Upcycling to me is art. Why? Because you take a piece (often discarded material) that is already a piece of art in itself and then you give it a new story while keeping the original story. I love upcycling. For me it's important to keep the nature of the item in this case, the rust. These whiskey barrel rings will look wonderful in my yard once installed. I will be using it as a trellis for my growing kiwi vi...ne plant which has already grown at least 3 feet above the fence.
