Mr Krispers is looking for his retirement home. He loves the outdoors and has spend the majority of his life living outside on a safe acreage. He is an excellent mouser and ratter but also likes to come inside too. He has behaviour issues and is very loving but also can bite or scratch, so he needs a cat savvy person that understands kitties like him. His previous owner has had him since he was a kitten but is no longer able to care for him.

***Holiday Trapping Update*** We became aware of a suspected feral colony with several cats appearing to be in distress so our dedicated volunteers trapped this cat ( pictured below) during the holiday season. This*feral* was soaking wet, hungry, filthy and covered in fleas. To our surprise, our trapper was able to touch her in the cage, and apply flea treatment and the *feral* started purring! We now think this is a suspected dumping ground for unwanted cats- as humans cannot touch a true feral without consequence. Our volunteers will keep at it until all the cats have been found -treated, and rehomed if social. Any ferals will see out vets at Harbour City Animal Hospital and be TNR to a new location.

***Captain is looking for his forever home*** This lovable guy had been abandoned and was rescued by a kind hearted person who took him in. " Captain" is a two years old male -neutered , and vaccinated. He likes kids and is fine with respectful dogs . ( We don't know how he would be with other cats. ) If you have lots of love to care for this guy forever, please contact the Society :)... Note" Applications can be had at Bosleys Parksville, or our messenger button

***Year End Update*** 2020 Has been a trying year for us all. We at Catspan Society would like to wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year! Catspan Society (with your help) improved the lives of over 150 cats and kittens. As an essential service, we never halted our rescue operations in 2020 ( but followed Public Health directions.) We rescued those who could not wait, and we only delayed activities that were not priority. We would like to thank our Vets, Dr... Sandie, Dr Erin, and all the staff at Harbour City Animal Hospital for the great care and Bosleys Parksville for all they do for us... And we would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers, our trappers, our directors, our foster families, our adopters... fund raisers and donors- allies and supporters. And thank you to the Government of Canada for the COVID relief program funding. You are all amazing and made a huge impact on the lives of this community's forgotten cats. See more
