Hey creative and crafty friends! I’m hoping I can inspire you to put some of your fabulosity and wisdom into a patch that illustrates ways we do/can keep each o...ther safe in our communities. What are we already doing? What could we so more of? What have we yet to try? This is for a community arts project with a great group of tender hearts via the Toronto Prisoners' Rights Project who are actively working to animate and resource the concept that #WeKeepEachOtherSafe. This hashtag can take you to some beautiful art, articles, panels & forums online if you want to source inspiration! We are hoping to collect as many patches as we can to assemble into a large 8’ x 6’ quilt that we’d like to unveil during Social Justice Week in early November. So please share this invitation with other creative and crafty folks! You can really make these patches out of anything that is sewable! Recycled and repurposed materials are fab! Happy to deliver materials if that’s helpful too? Holler at me if you have any questions?
