As you can imagine, there will be a number of measures that will be enacted for all of our safety. These changes have been mandated by my regulatory college, as well as Public Health. No, I will not have traffic flow arrows on my floor The number of available appointment times will be reduced. This will help to maintain social distancing, as well as allow extra time to sanitize the equipment. At this point, I will be booking in 30 minute slots, longer for laser treatments. This may change once I see how it flows. As there will be fewer slots available, I will need to triage patients’ needs over the phone. Regular tune ups will be at the bottom of the list. Please be patient. If you have flu-like symptoms, fever and/or new onset of cough or difficulty breathing, please present to the COVID assessment centre before making an appointment to see me. If your status changes between making the appointment and the appointment time, please let me know before you enter the office. Please note the following procedures for my office, as required by my regulatory college: 1. Appointments must be booked by phone. I am disabling the online booking system at this time. 2. Please, no "drop in" appointments. If you arrive without an appointment, you must call to see if I can accommodate you. 3. All patients will be COVID-19 pre-screened over the phone, as well as once you arrive at the office. 4. Only one patient is permitted in the office at any time because of social distancing rules. The door will be locked when a patient is in the office. 5. Please arrive for your appointment on time. If you are early you will have to wait on the porch (maintaining social distancing) or in your vehicle until the preceding patient exits. 6. Please do not bring anyone with you if they can’t wait in the car. Only the person with the appointment will be allowed in the office. 7. I will supply a bottle of hand sanitizer at the door. Please use it. 8. You must bring and wear your own face mask. I will be wearing a surgical mask, as required by my regulatory college. 9. I would prefer touchless tap/flash debit/credit card transactions. If you do not have this ability activated on your card, I would rather use the debit machine than handle cash at this time. I know this has been a difficult year, and I have truly missed seeing all of you. I look forward to once again helping you achieve your active lifestyles.

Home made masks are acceptable. I do not supply masks. Please bring your own. I continue to sanitize beteeen each patient, and only one patient is permitted in the office at a time. ... Some good news, Kingston friends, for Tuesday April 14.. As of 2 pm today in the KLFA Health Unit district there have only been 2 new diagnosed cases in the pa...st seven days, there are NO patients in hospital being treated for COVID-19 and there have been no deaths. Hello everyone. My family has survived its quarantine period unscathed. I had hoped that I could open the clinic again on April 6, but it is in everyones best interest to delay reopening the clinic. I have not set a re-open date. Chiropractic IS listed on the Ontario essential services list. However, this is only for URGENT CARE. My regulatory college has defined urgent care as:... 1) Care for patients experiencing a sudden and debilitating change in functional abilities (understood as walking, standing, sitting, lifting floor-to-waist or waist-to-shoulder, stair climbing, ladder climbing) or significant restrictions (experienced during bending/twisting, repetitive movement, pushing/pulling with right/left arm) as well as injury to head/neck/back and extremities. 2) Treatment aimed at alleviating significant pain, understood as pain that is incapacitating for the patient and interferes with their ability to carry out normal functioning. If you have an urgent issue, please call my office and we will figure out what needs to be done. Otherwise, I will hopefully see you in a few weeks!

Now that spring is upon us, please remember this simple tip. When you are raking your yard, PLEASE remember to alternate which side you are raking on. If you begin raking on your right side (left hand high, right hand low on the rake), switch to the left side (opposite hands) every minute or so. This will make the muscle exertion fairly symmetric, which will reduce the chances of injury. But, when you forget to do this, I am only a click away.
