Who should fill in the survey?: -All businesses and organizations, large and small -Located in Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox & Addington... A $250 Shop Local grand prize will be drawn from all completed survey responses sent in by Feb. 26. We wanted to let you know that the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program is now open and accepting applications until January 29, 2021. This year the CSJ program will support employers through a period of economic recovery, by funding up to 120,000 jobs for youth through CSJ 2021 - an increase of 40,000 jobs compared to last year. Applicants will be able to seek funding to hire youth between April 26, 2021 and February 26, 2022. While employers are encouraged to offer quality job...s on a full-time basis (35 hours per week), part-time jobs (minimum of 12 hours per week) will also be eligible for funding. This flexibility was introduced to enable hiring of youth outside of the summer period. Approved public and private sector employers will be eligible to receive a wage subsidy reimbursement of up to 75% of the provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage. Approved employers from the not-for profit sector will be eligible for a wage subsidy reimbursement of up to 100% of the provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage. The application form for CSJ 2021 has been simplified to make it less time consuming for you to complete. Happy Friday, everyone! Today we are announcing this years master of ceremonies for our Business Achievement Awards event, Lisa Ray Koenig! Here is some information about this cool lady: ... Lisa Ray's career has taken many paths... from working on cruise ships to being stranded at sea (but that's another story) to finding herself behind the microphone a various local radio stations. During her days in radio she found herself also writing a bi-weekly column called "Fifty Shades of Ray" sharing stories of her daily life, whether it be home renovation adventures with her Husband or trying to keep in step at her Zumba class! Lisa Ray has since retired from radio broadcasting and has now found a new relaxing career as a Registered Reflexologist and an Ayurvedic Indie Head Masseuse, along with being an Ambassador/Executive Director for the Gibbard District in Napanee.
