Hi friends, Prayer...a sacred space...a sacred place. May we go there not just in times of need we see in front of us, may we go there at all times. Jesus invites us to say "Our Father."

Anger is strong. Jesus shared an important warning. He challenges us to self-examination; to look at the condition of our heart.

You and I are blessed!! Before Christmas we began praying through the Beatitudes. Now in our journey through the gospels it is fitting we continue to pray and consider these words of Jesus. Today’s beatitude God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.... Spending time in prayer will reveal the state of the heart. What we are really feeling and thinking. The state of the heart openly displays to God how you and I are living at this moment. I want to unpack this thought in light the wilderness experience that Jesus walked. When Jesus was presented with the whole earth he was tired, no, exhausted, depleted. Quite simply worn out. This was His physical condition. What was the state of His heart? Read Jesus’ response when He was presented with the whole earth. Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. I will give it all to you, he said, if you will kneel down and worship me. Get out of here, Satan, Jesus told him. For the Scriptures say,‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him. Jesus was offered the world if. This offer had a condition based on what the recipient would do. Jesus turned down the offer because He knew who He was. Loved by God. This is where we see the state of the heart. Jesus’ bold rebuke of the enemy shows confidence and humility. Jesus was confident in being loved by The Father. Jesus was humble in not looking for more. Today as you pray be mindful that you are loved by God. Start there. Knowing you and I loved strengthens the heart. As you open your heart today, begin with God’s love. You and I are blessed! Pray for those in your circle to experience this same love. Pray for our community to experience this same love. As you and I pray we will be blessed, we will inherit all that God has given!! The whole earth!!

Hi friends, It’s been interesting this past week as I studied again the baptism of Jesus as recorded by Matthew. When Jesus comes up out of the water what does He take on? Full humanness or was He already truly human? In that moment all logic was thrown out as God was present in two dimensions at once. The physical and the spiritual. Can I logically explain it? No, but by faith I do believe it. When do you think Jesus became fully human?... Pastor Chris

"Hell is not just about doctrine; it's about destinies." Francis Chan What do you think? Where is your destiny? Where is my destiny? Where is the destiny of family and neighbours? Thinking on these questions this afternoon. My heart is heavy.

What is a state of readiness as a follower of Jesus? 1. Know He is coming back 2. In the meantime act like He is already here. (He is by the way.) 3. Expect Jesus to show up every day.... 4. Look for Him in the midst of your daily routines. See more
