Have you noticed lately how you ‘talk’ to yourself? All of us have some sort of internal monologue going on around the clock. It’s not something that we are always ‘aware’ of... but it can help to ‘notice’ what you are telling yourself and how you are doing it. Are you using words and language that are positive, encouraging and forgiving? ... Or are you using words that are negative and critical? Once I started to pay attention to my own inner talk...I caught myself frequently using language that wasn’t supportive or loving. It has helped me immensely to bring more awareness to this aspect of my day to day life. This is also something that I also bring into my clinical space. I pay close attention to the words that people are using when they tell me their stories. It is a window into their true thoughts and often helps me better understand them, their goals and motivations. 2020 has been a year full of challenge. It has been easier than ever to be hard on ourselves, especially when life is so unpredictable. More than ever I encourage you to start to notice how you are ‘speaking’ to yourself. You may be surprised...just as I was. And although I’m not telling you to change your talk... awareness is the greatest agent of change. #lovelanguage #itsinthewords #loveyourself #selftalk #loveyou #tunein #payattention #mindfulness #selfawareness #physiotherapy #physicaltherapy #physiotherapist #physicaltherapist #ottawaphysio #ottawaphysiotherapist #ottawaphysio #nataliemorrispt #pt See more

How are you showing up today? Have you ever thought about the energy that you are putting off? There is a lot going on in our lives right now. And it’s easy to carry that with us as we go through our days and interact with different people.... I’ve been really conscious of this lately... and have been intentionally taking a moment to first notice my energy and then mindfully set my intentions before engaging with someone new. It only takes a moment... but I’ve often felt that it’s the little things that make a difference. So before you walk into a room, start a call or engage with someone...why don’t you give it a try! #energy #bemindful #setyourintention #intentionalenergy #feelit #mindfulness #selfawareness #physiotherapy #physicaltherapy #physiotherapist #physicaltherapist #ottawaphysio #ottawaphysiotherapist #ottawaphysio #nataliemorrispt #pt See more

Things that are making my heart sing today: - My early wake up to move my body - A moment of quiet to enjoy my first coffee before the household wakes up - The quiet and peaceful snowfall outside... - My husband who always clears the snow from the driveway AND my car - The happy faces of my kids on their way to school to see their ‘amis’ (my kids are in French programs) - The pretty holiday planter that I picked up yesterday to bring some new life into the house - Christmas music (we are one month away!) - A day ahead full of clients who are hard working, appreciative and truly lovely to work with - - ... just to name a few! I am SO grateful for each of these things. 2020 has taught me never to undervalue the little things that bring me joy. What is making your heart sing today? #butfirstgratitude #practicegratitude #thelittlethings #happyhappyhappy #warmandcozy #happyheart #litup #tistheseason #snowydays #nataliemorrispt

Good afternoon! On this snowy day (in Ottawa) I thought I’d share a fun fall shot. Also it’s been awhile since I introduced myself...... ...So for all of the new (and existing) faces here are some fun facts about me! 1) I’m a registered physiotherapist in Ottawa, Canada. 2) I am fluently bilingual and work in both English and French. 3) My practice is centered around cancer rehabiliation, lymphedema management and pelvic health although I do see orthopedic cases. 4) I am a trained yoga teacher. 5) I love all things movement and integrate this heavily into my practice. 6) I love connecting with people and consider myself an empath. 7) I exercise or move my body most days of the week even if just in small doses. 8) I’m married to an amazing man and am a proud mama to two beautiful kids. 9) I love photography - most of the photos on my page are either shot or edited by me. 10) I run on coffee - you will rarely see me without a vat of this glorious potion nearby! #physiotherapy #physicaltherapy #physiotherapist #physicaltherapist #ottawaphysio #ottawaphysiotherapist #ottawaphysio #nataliemorrispt #pt #yow #ottawa #613 #update #abitaboutme See more
