Kiddo I can’t believe it’s almost been one year of loving you. You’ve brought more joy to our family than I ever imagined was possible. So in love with you Everest Isaiah.

If we have no clear idea of where we are going, then we will never ever get there. Recently we’ve been really focusing in on what it means to live intentionally as a family. Taking time to talk about where we want to be 10, 15....20 years down the road? How do we want our relationships with our kids to look when they’re teenagers and then adults? What marriage goals do we have? What do we want our children to value in life? What do we ourselves value? And after determinin...g answers to these questions, then taking the time to vision plan together and decide on values and a mission for our family. Because let’s be honest, life happens you guys. And our time is so easily sucked up by meaningless things if we’re not careful. And before we know it, we’re halfway through the parenting stage with no clear end goals in mind. So gosh was I ever excited when @faithandfamilycollective sent us their gathering box because it fit so perfectly into what we have been working at. It’s a little kit that you sit down and work through together as a family, brainstorming and answering fun questions and it includes some beautiful prayers and quotes too. It’s already brought so much joy into our home and we’re excited to continue to use it as we strive to live intentionally as a family. See more

You guys this past weekend was an absolute dream come true. About 6 months back, my best friend Britt Havens Blog and I had this idea of bringing a homeschool conference to our city. We wanted it to be a day for homeschooling mamas like ourselves to just come and hang out. To listen to engaging speakers, have brunch together, to ask questions and share with each other. No matter the background they come from or the homeschool style they use, our hope was that they walk aw...ay feeling refreshed, encouraged and empowered as they all continue to navigate through their own unique homeschool journey. Wellllll we did it! We chased that dream and hustled away for months....during nap times, while our husbands were home on the weekends, after the kids were all asleep at night...we somehow made it happen. And the day was far, far more than we ever thought it would be thanks to the many incredible women that showed up and believed in us, the amazing speakers, and the team we had behind us.
