What do you think??? Does being self-critical help you improve your actions and make you more confident as a result? Experts say constantly criticizing yourself does just the OPPOSITE of building confidence and self-esteem!... Constantly listening to a negative voice in your head can lead to feelings of depression exactly the opposite of feeling motivated and positive about your abilities. Instead, they recommend self-compassion. This means shutting down that negative voice and noticing the things you did well as well as praising yourself for lessons learned. Agree? Disagree? Researchers found that people who reported being physically active scored higher on ALL of those markers, according to a study in the journal Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment.
