Life gets overwhelming and it is so easy to stretch yourself too thin, and we sometimes forget to prioritize ourselves. . Here is a relatable analogy- a cellphone. Throughout the day, the cellphone battery slowly starts going down. Once we notice the battery is low, we plug it into the wall to recharge. If we kept using the phone it would eventually shut down, and the recharge takes a lot longer than if we just plugged it in the wall when we noticed the battery getting lower.... Some of us even have a routine of charging our phone right when we get home from work or while we sleep throughout the night. Why does your phones battery get a daily recharge and you don’t? . Remember to prioritize yourself and your health. Take time in the day to recharge - meditate, journal, go for a walk, make a tea, practice sleep hygiene, put your feet on the ground. It is so easy to get into a negative mindset and blame your body for not looking the way you want it to, or not feeling the way it should.
