I couldn't have said it better myself! If you are a client of mine, or someone who is getting married in the near future, please take a moment to read this very important message from Heather Jowett! Are your wedding plans looking like they're going to be disrupted by COVID-19? I know it's not a fun thing to think about now. Take a day, take a breather, and just know that the vast majority of your wedding vendors also want to do our part to stop the spread and flatten t...he curve, so we're ready to help! I personally am allowing any of my affected 2020 clients to reschedule to any available dates I have up until next summer. We'll find you a new date, don't you worry! If you want to support your vendors at this time of a lot of economic insecurity for them (especially the small business vendors, like photographers, DJs, florists, and officiants) here are three things you can do. 1) Postpone, don't cancel. Every vendor I know is being really flexible with our rescheduling policies. It might sound overwhelming, but I promise you, we are ready to help make it as easy as possible. Also, what a story to get to tell the grandkids one day! 2) If you reschedule, pay your balance on it's original due date. Every wedding vendor I know schedules their year so they can have consistent income coming in, and well, this looks likely to disrupt that, a lot. If you were planning a May wedding that has now become an October wedding, consider paying your balance when it was originally due for the May date. Your vendors will be happy to write up a contract addendum for you stating that you're paid in full for the rescheduled date. 3) If you're a former client of a wedding vendor you loved, give them some love. Share about how amazing your experience was with them online. Tag them in some photos. Buy prints or an album from your wedding photographer. Send them a picture of that kitten that says "hang in there"! Please do - you all know I love cats! Everyone is facing a lot of uncertainty right now. Wedding vendors are not special in that regard, but still, if you're wondering how to support the small businesses who are also trying to support you as your wedding day plans may have to change, these are some things you can do. Thanks everyone!!! We're all in this together! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to me anytime! :)
