#TurtleTipTuesday #Swimtipoftheweek Body Positioning Part 2 Freestyle... Are you having trouble with keeping your legs on or near the surface of the water while you swim? Try submerging/pressing the upper half of your body and possibly even your head down more. This will have an interesting effect on keeping your legs on the surface longer. This works especially well for those swimmers that have a lot of muscle mass or a larger torso. Find your sweet spot and try it out this week! #tiptuesday

#TurtleTipTuesday #protiptuesday This week and next week’s Pro Tip will be on Body Positioning in the water. The most common thing we see as coaches is everyone swims facing ahead of them. Did you know, that this indicates a subconscious fear of the water?... Our goal when we are swimming is to move as efficiently as possible through the water. Therefore, the most efficient way to move would be to keep your body as flat as possible on the surface. As soon as you lift your head up, your legs are going to sink which makes you work harder. This week’s Pro Tip is all about keeping your head DOWN or UP! When you are swimming your neck should be in a neutral position with your nose pointing at the BOTTOM of the pool or facing directly towards the ceiling. Try it out this week! If you have any questions about this tip, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or ask your coach! #swimtipoftheweek

We will post two tips for each segment and once we are done, a stroke, we will move on to the next. Like, Comment and Share our page to your friends to get them in on these great tips!! Tune in next week for Tip #1 with the freestyle stroke on body positioning!

#turtletiptuesday #tiptuesday Breath Control! How does your breath feel when you're swimming? Are you gasping for air or are you calmly gliding through the waves? ... Most people have a misconception that you need to hold your breath when you go underwater, this is not the case! Inhale quickly, but exhale slowly. Try it in the pool and let us know what you think! #swimtipoftheweek
