National Dodgeball Festival

Announcing Festival postponement. This video gives an update on our festival. Captains have been sent emails with information on next steps. We are very sorry to announce but we must comply. Please try to understand we are working hard in a very tough situation. We understand this effects people and we only hope you are safe and doing well. New date to be announced May 6.

Merry Christmas to all our friends in the dodgeball community and beyond. 2020 has been a long hard year and we sure miss seeing you all and watching you play at our events. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and the hope that 2021 will see everyone get together once again to play our great sport. We are closely watching the vaccine roll out with cautious optimism that we may turn the corner and be able to put the pandemic behind us. A poem from Tim (read to a night before Xmas) Twas the days without dodgeball and all through the gym, not creature was throwing so no hits to the chin. The balls were in storage, the whistles shut down, the only ones moving were conspiracy clowns. ... With my Mrs in yoga pants and me in my sweats, we had just nestled down for a sleep by our nets. When all of a sudden there arose should a clatter, I sprung from my Casper mattress to see what was the matter. And there by the building outside the Pro Sports gate, stood North Bay Armageddon with no games on their plate. There faces were sad, their gym clothes were tattered. They wanted to play for them that’s what mattered. They looked at the building they wanted the balls, they were not gonna listen they hated this stall. When I saw them move close to the garage door with care, I yelled from my bed PLAYING WOULDNT BE FAIR. Of course you are restless, of course you are bored, but when rushed back to early the cases they soarerd. It’s not about you or the things we have lost. It’s protecting our people no matter the cost. The illness is real the danger laid bare. The best way to beat it is to take caution and care. So back in your cars cause fighting not best, it’s sticking together, it’s building your nest. One day the balls will again take their place, and you will find joy hitting friends in the face. You will jump dip and dodge and laugh as you do, and together we will say COVID SCREW YOU. But until then stay safe and do what is right. Soon we will all be together and once again smile bright. But as their cars drove away with smiles so dim. They wondered if they should have listened to Tim. Be safe everyone listen to our professionals. Love one another

A sad day as our festival should be getting ready for games. Our staff would be rushing to handle the registration, add final touches to the courts and testing all systems one last time. The best part for all of us was watching all our players arrive excited and pumped to play and see their friends again. That is what makes the festival special to our staff and we believe to all the players as well. We surely will never forget how the world can take away what you love in an instant. We look forward to the day we all can once again rattles the cages and play our great sport. To everyone please stay safe and follow the directions of our best medical people. We miss you!
