National Wildlife Centre Canada 13.11.2020

Many concerned community members called us about this young cygnet Trumpeter swan. He has a bad wing - called "angel wing". If caught early, with treatment, he can recover. Thanks to the public, and the Trumpeter Swan Society members, and our National Wildlife Centre medical team, this swan is well on his way to making a full recovery. The wing had not healed permanently in the improper position, so with correcting the wing, we hope he can be reunited with his family once his wing heals! Thanks to the excellent rehabilitation care by Kyna Intini, he has a chance at life!

Reposting - this is in regards to hoping to find out who shot these bear cubs (illegally). The last title wasn't clear and we had a few questions from our followers. The title has been updated. The video remains clear in terms of the request. Thanks!

Thank you for being a part of the National Wildlife Centre Community. While it was a difficult decision, our team has decided to postpone the "Evening with the National Wildlife Centre" due to Covid-19. The event, which was scheduled for September 24, 2020 at the Ambassador in Caledon East - with our special guest Dr. Roberta Bondar (Canada's first female astronaut), will be rescheduled for the Spring of 2021 and we will be providing updates along the way. For those that have purchased a ticket or table, we will be reaching out to you personally to discuss refunds or securing your purchase for the Spring Event.

This beautiful bobcat is just waking up from his sedation for us to examine him and take blood. He was quite comfortable!
