Maytag and Whirlpool oven fans issues and resolve. PROBLEM Cooling fan will not cycle off after cooking cycles.... CAUSE When the control is set to Energy Save Mode (not described in the Use and Care Guide), the control will not cycle the cooling fan off. NOTE An oven that’s operating normally will run the cooling fan after cooking cycles until the oven cavity cools to 100C or 212F. This could take up to 45 minutes. SOLUTION Deactivate the Energy Save Mode. Press and hold the Settings keypad for three seconds or until you see Energy Save Off in the upper text area. The clock will reappear in the display, and the range can be operated as designed.
