The power of plants combined with acupuncture is AWESOME for fertility! Another success story, a patient in her early 40s, told she could only get pregnant with donor egg. She switched to a whole food plant based diet, and had 2-3 acupuncture sessions monthly. The first change she noticed was how much better her energy became, no more post lunch slumps with no need to have that 2nd cup of coffee. Her libido improved too, which is always a positive sign of improved fertility and health. Four months after taking on these changes, she fell pregnant naturally and gave birth to a healthy baby boy at the age of 42! I'm writing today to talk about the amazing difference a healthy, whole food diet makes in one's health and fertility. I have seen many of my patients achieve their dream of having a child, whether naturally or with medical help, by switching to a whole food diet. You can start by making 3 simple changes: 1. Drink water instead of pop, coffee, tea, etc. 2. Have at least 50% of your meals be vegetables, salads, and/or fresh fruits. 3. Reduce the amount of animal foods in your ...diet, and instead eat more plant-based proteins: beans, legumes, chickpeas, organic tofu, lentils, nuts, and seeds. I also advocate for regular fertility acupuncture treatments, which increases blood flow to the reproductive system. A healthy diet and acupuncture are two excellent ways to help you be at your fertile best!
