Hello! I thought I would try something new today... Our studio has been asked if we offer classes for adults who want to learn the basics of music. We currently don't offer this sort of class, but I thought it would be a good idea to consider. What I want to know is, do you think it's a good idea?... Would adults like to have the option to take a basic music class in order to keep up with their kids (who are currently in music lessons)? This class would also help those who want to read music again (after quitting those painful lessons as a kid). :-) Let me know what think, and if I should start organizing course material! Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

Attention! To those interested in Top Men: A local Nanaimo band that can make a room full of people dance for hours to their fantastic gentleman's techno. Top men are playing a show tonight (and it's all ages)! For those of you that attended our Winter Recital, Top Men were the loved opening band who entertained a full house with an amazing show.... I plan to be there and hope to see you too! Come support local musicians, and bring the whole family!

Talkhouse.com is a website I found recently that has review articles about all types of music albums. The neat thing is that the reviews are written by other professional musicians who weren't involved in the making of the album being reviewed. Naturally, no one knows more about music than musicians. They talk about their own work all the time, but they rarely get to talk about other people's music. That's what the Talkhouse is all about: smart, distinguished musicians from a...ll genres and generations writing about the latest releases. And there's a twist: there will be comments for each piece but only from the artist who's being written about. The idea is promote dialogue between musicians who may never have interacted otherwise, and for Talkhouse readers to have a ringside seat to this unique exchange. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed reading these articles. Check it out and let me know if you find an interesting article I should read!
