WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS! it's been years of no shorts for me, I have avoided them for too long. Yes I have cellulite, varicose veins, "strawberry legs" and big calves. But this year, I'm wearing the damn shorts. It's supposed to be a HOT HOT summer. I'm ready.... I found some shorts I feel comfortable in @mauricescanada and my @sunnatan tanning mousse is going to be a staple. I slept in the mousse last night and it's the perfect colour. I have 6 sunless mousse/mitt sets left. $60+tax. So far I've done 4 full body tans and there is still tons of product left. It's definately worth it. #sunnatan #wearthedamnshorts #summerready

BIG NEWS I have settled on a business name for my new journey. I'm thrilled with how this journey has begun, I know this isn't going to be easy (nothing worth having is), and I'm excited to see where it goes.... Now more about the name. My journey into the beauty industry started as a sugar client, 6 months later I took my first course. Sugaring will always hold a special spot in my heart for that reason, and because it's awesome. It also encouraged me to be more aware of what I was putting on my skin, and has lead me down a more natural approach to skincare. I have followed natural skincare businesses for years, tried so many products and done alot of research on what ingredients do for us. The MAE portion of the name has so much meaning. It is one of my middle names (Elizabeth Mae), may was the month I was due to be born.. que 8 week early twins. I weighed 1lb. 8ozs when I was born and spent several weeks in McMaster NICU. The Mae represents the fight I have, the desire to be successful and a reminder of where I started. I am unsure at this point if I will change the name of the studio, as that comes with its own complications. Clients keep an eye out for an email from me for my soft launch date. Over the next while I will be posting content about different ingredients, and what they do for our skin. NEVER TOO YOUNG TO LEARN I didn't feel like formulating today, so I'm digging deep and learning more and more about ingredients. Face products need different things as that skin is different than the rest of our body. ... It's important to understand the benefits to ingredients as well as how they feel on the skin. Oils are so good for our skin, however some take longer to absorb and that isn't ideal for certain types of products.
