Naturally Indigo: Organic Argan Oil

Thank you to our monthly donors who assist single mothers and their children in Morocco. Currently a group of 8 regular contributors help pay housing costs for... five families headed by single women. We also supply medical supplies to three other families with paralysed family members. Selling items on Facebook Marketplace helps to support families in terms of food, medication, and medical supplies that we are unable to deliver depending on our travel schedule. We are all part of the global village, and if we can make a difference, then we should regardless of culture, location or religion. Over the course of the last two years, I have come to know and appreciate three women who live together in El Jadida. Unlike some of the families we have met, the mother and her adult daughters have an income. There is regular family income due to one sister working. However, chronic health problems threaten them at every turn. A lifetime of poverty and worry compromises physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Countries with no safety net leave their citizens always one step from disaster. The mother of the family was recently hospitalized with diabetic complications. One daughter is totally paralysed with rheumatoid arthritis and is bed ridden. Her needs are great, and she is totally reliant on her mother and sister for all care. The sister who is employed has one lung, and is quite frail. The one income must go to supply all medical needs for a diabetic mother, and chronically-ill sisters. Morocco does not have universal health care, drugs are not covered, and all the supplies for physically incapacitated people must be purchased. I am looking for people who would like to contribute a monthly sum to this family of women. If you are interested, I can give you photos and documents pertaining to the ladies. Sometimes, two people contribute alternate months, or two or more can share the costs of providing a monthly stipend. You could send the money directly to the ladies or I can send on your behalf and provide you with a monthly receipt. I ask you to consider the difficulties facing these ladies, and consider helping them. They are gentle kind women, who are surviving in very difficult circumstances.

We are in Morocco and currently touring the northern part of the country.

Thanks to Stratford Central Secondary School, we have been able to provide funds for extra medication to a single mother in Casablanca this month. Also, we paid... the rent for a family of girls in Nkob. We also assisted a single mother with living expenses in Casablanca, and contributed funds to a paralysed young man in Rabat. Thanks to Burtol Cleaners and Canada Volt, 673 Ontario St. Stratford, for allowing Leyla's Legacy to have on-going display space in their shop for our fundraising efforts. Our costs in Morocco range from $600 to $800 per month, and I would like to thank our regular sponsors who make sure that three mothers and children are taken care of monthly. I would also like to thank the nurses at Stratford Medical Depot for their collections of medical supplies that they so generously share with us. We will be delivering wound-care supplies to four families on our next trip. We also hope to take another wheelchair.
