As mandated by the province and reiterated by our fellow independent restaurants, guest and staff safety is always top of mind. We are all in this together we each have a role to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19. A message to our loyal guests at Verdicchio Ristorante Enoteca and Natura Catering and Events. In wake of COVID-19, we would like to provide you with an update on our ongoing efforts to keep our restaurant and facilities comfortable and safe. We have always believed that though we are in the restaurant industry, we are foremost in the public health industry. Our livelihoods and health depend on what we eat and how our food is prepared and delivered to you, our guests. We have... always implemented routine procedures to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. Since the day we opened our doors in 1994, we have enforced this and we will continue to follow through. At the same time, are closely monitoring advisories and guidance from the World Health Organization, federal, provincial and local authorities. Some of the steps we are taking include: constant sanitizing of chairs, computers, menus, wireless payment terminals and other points of human contact like doorknobs, bathroom facilities, etc; our tablecloths and napkins are disposed into laundry after every use; as per health standards, our employees are required to wash their hands after every transaction, break and action; our kitchen staff have all undergone Health and Safety training, which includes high measures of sanitation and personal hygiene; our dishes are rinsed and washed with both food grade dishwashing detergent, then sanitized. We had implemented a hot water booster to bring the temperature of our dishwasher water to meet the 180 degrees Fahrenheit minimum required to kill bacteria and viruses; any staff member who displays flu or coronavirus symptoms are required to stay home; for events, we also have a cancelation policy in effect. We are an independent restaurant and rely on the support of the community. Recognizing the situation we are all in, we are offering a 20% discount for all take-out orders for pick-up from Verdicchio Ristorante. Deli favourites from Frank’s Delicatessen are also available through Skip the Dishes and Doordash, Tuesday to Friday, from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. In the meantime, we wish everyone good health and encourage you to follow recommended COVID-19 prevention.
