Its been nearly two months since launching my business, so I think its due time for an introduction! So hello, Im Seanna, a busy mom of twin boys, chef, gard...ener, and cheese lover. Chris Pyne is my other half, and while he doesnt play a role in this business, he is so good at supporting me and encouraging me in pursing my dreams. I discovered the world of fine cheese and cheesemongering when I was living in London, England. I was working in a Michelin starred restaurant- and not enjoying it one bit, and I was spending my free time exploring the incredible markets of London. I discovered Neals Yard Dairy, which is a cheese shop that collects various cheeses from across the British Isles and brings them to sell in London, and thought it was the most incredible place Id ever been, so I went ahead and applied for a job. I started to learn about, care for, and sell cheese for a living and I loved every minute. Id have stayed there forever if I could have. Fast forward a few years, Id just moved to Annapolis Royal, the boys were 8 months old, and I was visiting the wonderful Annapolis Royal Farmers and Traders Market for the first time. I thought it was an amazing market with such a variety of vendors- but there was one thing missing- cheese !! So here I am, collecting various cheeses from the wonderful cheese makers of Nova Scotia (and beyond) and bringing them to Annapolis Royal for you enjoy. Im passionate about supporting local, which is why all of my preserves are made with local products, and Im happy to see you all supporting these small cheesemakers through your purchases.
