Another wow moment for us at Nautica.. this sponsor is very special as when we reopened from our last lockdown we got to spend almost everyday with Ewan and Eberly! Ewan was part of our daily lesson programs and Eberly was in our Parents and Tots program. Not to mention all the bike trips they had their mom take them to the barn for some pony love time. James has been able to see Helios grow and has been able to be a part of our Nautica Family as his daughter Ella ...is on our crew members in caring for our horses. Tralala has been sponsored by Crystal Johnston for her little one Madison who has been participating in or parents and tots program offered during the summer months. Madison feel in love with Tralala the first time they met. Athena has been sponsored by one of our regulars at our barns that is also available to help and plays a big role in our barn! As many of you may remember, during the March lockdown we began a sponsorship program. We’ve decided with this second lockdown that we would bring back a slightly modified version of our program! This winter, Murphy, Tralala, Darcy, Gypsy, Buddy, Lilac, Stormy, Piper, Adele, Athena, Lightning and everyone’s favourite little devil Kevin are available to be sponsored. Our 2021 sponsorship program costs 100$ monthly and includes a weekly FaceTime with your pony and 1 private lesson per month of sponsoring. The sponsorship covers the everyday cost of the horses, including feed, medical care, dentals and farrier work. We ask that all borders coming to either location to please reach out to us to make an appointment to visit your horse or horses, this applies to both Forced road location as well as Larry Robinson Road location. Same goes for riding time. If you plan on visiting and riding please make us aware, as we can only have 5 people in the barns at a time including staff, vets, farriers... If you happen to come to the barn without an appointment there is a small chance you could be ...turned away and asked to return at a later time. This is all new to us as well, please be patient as we try and make this go as smoothly as possible for everyone.

Exciting news... Our own Jessie Carson and Darlington have received the overall show series Reserved Champion in the horse hack! And our own Golden Ticket! AKA Gypsy has receive the 4th place in the overall show series!!! Awesome Job!!!

Grateful for our schoolies and all they have to teach us

We are so excited to formally announce that Nautica officially operates out of 2 locations in Russell. This move allows for our show team to practice out of a separate facility & for us to better serve our regular lesson clientele during the winter! Our second facility offers 3 rings, 2 outdoor and 1arena ring for us to enjoy. During the winter we will have access to the indoor ring, in order to provide a more comfortable year round experience for our lesson riders! At this time our lessons will continue to be held at the original Nautica facility, as it is the perfect time of year for outdoor riding. However in the winter we will move the program over. Today we moved our first residents to the second location & they all enjoyed the opportunity to explore their new home!

Great day for our staff and rider Emily Veinot who is always willing to help our young riders and willing to lend a hand. We may not be a big fancy show barn....but we have never walked into a show without bringing home ribbons!! Great job at the bronze show today!!

Today, the campers made the NEC horses and ponies some pony-pizza’s! Our equine friends sure do deserve them after all their hard work teaching our campers!

One of this week's camp activity was to try and find Stormy's baby heartbeat this was definitely a favorite and Storm loved every minute of educating our little ones.

2 years ago today Vicki and Belinda formed a new partnership! They go for super early morning rides and have lots and lots of fun together!! Vicki also kindly lets us use Belinda as part of the school, which is why so many of our students know and love her! This is what Belinda has to say about her gotcha day; My name is Belinda and August 20 2018 was my adoption day and then I had a new mom Vicki. I had been a school pony at Greenbelt for about 10 years. My mom bought me ...various items in pink and purple my favourite colours. In spring 2019 I moved with all my friends to Nautica Equestrian Centre in Russell. Beside all the efficient barn staff taking care of me I have had attention from the farrier for my toes and the dentist/vet for my teeth. My mom enjoys riding me any time and I am quite enjoyed by folks taking lessons. I have had several adventures off the property meeting Santa in a parade and going on a couple of hunt adventures. I also like hanging out with my friend Chester he is so handsome. So what do I not like? Sometimes I do not like to be caught in the field to come in it is too much fun out there. There is no way I will wear a blanket in the rain or cold my own coat is quite sufficient. Do give me a friendly pat the next time you see me. See more

First few pictures from Partridge this weekend! Jessie & Dar pulled 2 firsts and Champion of the Hack Tristan pulled a 5th in the pleasure hack on Lightning and 4th in the development hunter on Georgia Leith and Georgia were reserve in their division with 3 seconds Lulu and Rico were third and fourth in the lead line ... Helena and Chester had gorgeous schooling rounds in the jumper ring Juliana and Gypsy were fourth in the pleasure hack and had 2 thirds in the short/long stirrup hunters Emily and Georgia were tenth in the derby Holly and Chester followed with eleventh in the derby Super awesome show day for everyone! Last night, Nautica lost one of our oldest & most treasured horses. Lieber was a jack of all trades & even in his retirement from a show career he continued to show young riders the ropes in lessons and summer camp. Lieber played a huge part in the lives of everyone at Nautica and during his time at Greenbelt he was a staple of the program. He will be greatly missed by both us and his best friend, Kellerman.
