The problem with dinosaur cakes is the snarly Dino’s always take a big chomp out of the cake. Especially if it’s chocolate. *sigh* What were you doing last year at this time? Getting ready to cook Christmas Dinner for 50 people? Cleaning? shopping like mad? Dusting out the guest room? Sure is different this year. I’m not going to be able to see my mom, dad or my son this Christmas, and let me tell you, I get misty on the daily. However, they are safe, heathy, warm and fed.... Alright friends! One of our part time kitchen team members has had contact with someone who tested positive for COVID. This particular lovely person has had zero contact with our guests. For precautionary purposes we will be sending the whole team down for COVID testing and as such, will be closed until the test results come back. Anyone who has ordered a cake to be picked up, I will be contacting you to arrange a specific pick up time or delivery! ... Stay safe every one!

When I was making the cinnamon buns today, I was remembering the kids cooking classes. When the dough was done rising I would tell the kids that it was time to tell the dough what it was going to be. This dough has been waiting its whole life to find out what it’s going to be! It could have been pizza or dinner buns but this dough gets to be cinnamon buns! Then I’d listen for the encouraging whispers to their dough you care going to be a cinnamon bun! The best one! Everyo...ne is going to love you! You’re going to get raisins!
