Helen Boutilier-Inglis has always been drawn to light and colour, whether she was touring medieval churches or modern art galleries. Working with stained glass has opened a door to the passion and excitement that come from translating concepts and ideas into creations. This latest piece offered a colour challenge matching the light bronze and grey bevels with a background design and colours that would complement but not fight with the subtle colours. She had one small piece of the sandblasted bronze architectural glass which made a great tile wall, then selected a cloudy sky. Such a difference between the piece with and without sunlight.
