Melissa Prado is currently a Commodity Trading Associate at Cargill. She is also holds a Bachelors' Degree in Agricultural Economics, Data Science and Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Bio: Melissa graduated this May from the University of British Columba with a degree in Agricultural Economics, minoring in Data Science and Business. She is currently working as a Commodity Trader Associate at Cargill Canada. Through her university she was able to gain professional experiences internationally in various fields such as interning at the UN office in Nairobi, working for a US-based start-up and doing a research project in Indonesia. Bio: Darren Yeo is a fourth-year Finance and Accounting student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business. His passion for finance began when he joined TD Canada Trust in 2016 where he worked as a Customer Service Representative and a Financial Services Representative. Eager to broaden his finance experience and expand his network, Darren secured an internship in Toronto as a Financial Analyst in RBC’s Corporate Treasury team for the Fall 2019 semester. Currently, he is an Equity Analyst for the Beedie Endowment Asset Management fund overseeing the Power & Utilities universe of the TSX Composite. In the upcoming Fall semester, Darren will be joining MNP’s Corporate Finance team as an Analyst covering mid-market mergers & acquisitions.
