'Gratitude' featuring the dancers and musicians of The National Ballet of Canada...
Looking forward to the day we can compare the whiskers face to face once more...
Congratulations to Charles Benaroya for achieving tenure status as Principal Trombone of The National Ballet of Canada Orchestra. Such a pleasure to have him with us. And of course, thank you to David Archer for his decades in that chair. About 40 years, Dave? Oh, and I had a request to 'adapt' this reference to a certain 80s TV show to feature our newly minted principal. It's musicians like Charles and Dave that make our orchestra just such a pleasure to be a part of!
We did a lot of touring back in the day... Europe, the USA, especially New York City, and Eastern & Western Canada. Good times!
So while we're waiting to hear about the National Ballet's plans for more performances of Romeo & Juliet, here are 49 photos from our soon-to-be-retired (possibly already retired) colleague, Steve Mosher's farewell book...
Prokofiev wrote beautifully for the horns and every instrument in this amazing ballet score.
