Since being injured in November in a car accident I am no longer the super human I had grown use to over the past 18 months. So I've started to fill my days with small projects and work limited hours to avoid further injury while I continue to rehab. I saw these stairs that were steep and unsafe for the Refugee family living next to the church I've been working at since July of last year. ... So since I was finished re-insulating the basement I thought I'd take scraps from my garage and see what I could do with the stairs for them pro-bono to stay busy and moving around as much as I could manage comfortably. What would typically take me a day has been about 2 weeks on my current ability time frame. They're almost done and I had fun. I'll post the finished product this week to show with a little creativity you can put left over scraps to work!
