The excitement is building for this local performance opportunity at Woodgrove Central Walk. We've been away from the stage for too long...so here we go ! NCB dancers are preparing to showcase solo works from their 2019/2020 dance season featuring creations by local choreographers. Don't miss out on this FREE family friendly event. ... Thank you to the Woodgrove Central walk administrative team and the Woodgrove staff for completing temperature checks of all mall guests, and for implementing new mask regulations. The NCB dancers are excited to wear new team masks for this event !

Huge thank you to Mariana Moraes for teaching a fabulous workshop filled with MANY things today. From classical ballet barre, to improv, to contemporary floor work, the dancers got a taste of all things good and technical, with a little spice on the side. This Sat Oct 3rd 3:30-6:30pm ~ Guest Artist Mariana Morales Mariana Moraes is dance artist who is known for her classical and contemporary technique. Born in Belem, Brazil, Mariana has been training and performing since the age of six where she first fell in love with Ballet. She continued her training in Vancouver, Canada when invited to participate in the pre-professional dance program at Lamondance where she experienced many styles and developed her creativity and passion... for contemporary/modern dance. As a dancer, Mariana has had the opportunity to train and perform in the Vancouver dance scene as well as internationally in Brazil. She was cast in the movie "Center Stage: on pointe" playing one of the ballet dancers in the camp, and most recently has joined the "Contemporary Division" project as a dancer and Rehearsal Director where she performed in the production The Other Side of the Window. As a dance instructor and choreographer, Mariana has choreographed for large scale productions such as Alice in wonderland, "Romeo and Juliet", "Giselle" and "Midsummer Night Dreams, as well as showing her work in many different competitions, where she has been awarded as an outstanding choreographer. Mariana has also been teaching internationally in Mexico as a guest at Ballet Concierto Cancun and recently obtained certification for the ballet program Performance Awards by AAB, NY (American Academy of Ballet, New York). Mariana will be teaching as a guest teacher and choreographer at numerous summer programs this year in Vancouver and is very excited to be back in Canada sharing her passion for dance. @marianamoraesdance See more

Wow, Will Jessup just blew us away with his incredible talent ! It's an honour to be able to highlight work by emerging young choreographers as well as connect our dancers with up and coming talent. So proud of our NCB dancers ! 8hrs of hard work and they finished this piece with time to spare. Thank you Will !
