2020 has been a hard year. With that, comes the cancellation of some beloved community events. So as a way to say Merry Christmas from our committee , we will be holding a Virtual Community Carol sing with the one and only "Music Mary". She will be signing live, from our Community Christmas tree. Because of Covid restrictions, we ask everyone to stay home and watch from your cozy couch. Recording will be done one evening this week as a 'live" broadcast, but will remai...n on our page all through Christmas for everyone too enjoy. Happy Sunday! Thanks for the Bacon entries everyone! Still time to post them today! Looks like the rain is going to clear away and the sun is going to shine! Get those quilts out for our Quilt display today! Make our community colourful! It's also going to be a large day for our Community Yard Sale. If you haven't already done so, add your name to our previous Yard Sale post, so everyone knows where to spend their money!

ITS TIME!!!!!! It wouldn't be Beach Festival weekend until someone does the bacon! Put Wipeout on your player, record your buddy doing the bacon and post it for all to see!! ....AND GO!

Now, go get some Charlotte's, take a shower, have a drink and get together with your DOUBLE bubbles to reminisce about Beach Festival years past! BEACH FESTIVAL FISHING DERBY RULES & REGULATIONS: Starting Saturday, August 8th @ 630am, a beach festival committee member will meet you at the beginning of Long Cove Pond &/or Long Cove Wharf to record your name and collect $5 from each person wishing to take part in the derby. Upon returning back into the Pond/wharf after fishing, you can bring your fish, HEAD MUST BE ATTACHED, back to the committee member to be weighed and then be put in the running for 1st, 2nd or 3rd pl...ace. We will be accepting participants all morning, but your fish must be weighed before 12pm SHARP! 1st place will receive 60% of monies collected, 2nd place will receive 30% of monies collected and 3rd place will receive 10% of monies collected! Any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to any member!

Beach Festival 2020 Presents: TROLLS WORLD TOUR! Coming to the beach near you THIS FRIDAY! Movies starts at 8pm! A committee member will show you where to park Things to Remember- -THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS AVAILABLE.... -Bring your own snacks! (No alcohol) -Please stay in your vehicle AT ALL TIMES! THIS IS BEACH FESTIVAL WEEK!! How can you help out this year? SPREAD THE WORD! Let everyone know about our drive-in movie, Our Fishing Derby & the Bobber ra...ce! Don't forget to mention that ALL MONIES COLLECTED will go back to the winner! The more people who enter, the bigger the prize will be! Clean up around your property and the side road in front of your house! Be proud of where you live, and let the visitors enjoy the scenery as the drive by! Dust off those old treasures just sitting in your basement and get them ready to sell to someone during the community yard sale on Sunday. Enjoy what our community has to offer! This week, walk one of our trails, order from our takeout, enjoy a drink at our pub, eat a large sub & an apple flip, look for sea glass on one of our beaches, get a shop lunch & a custard cone from our local store, find someone with a boat and take a tour of Chapel head, paint & hide some rocks. We are looking forward to seeing everyone out and enjoying our community! See more

Rules & Guidelines for FRIDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES: DRIVE IN MOVIE - ALL spectators are too remain in their vehicle for the duration of the movie. If a person/child is seen walking around the vehicles, the movie will be stopped until the situation is rectified. - THE BATHROOMS WILL NOT BE IN USE during this event. ... - ABSOLUTELY No sitting on top of vehicle, sitting on hood of vehicle, sitting in the back of your truck, or sitting on the ground by your vehicle during the movie. - Feel free to pack movie snacks for everyone to enjoy, but please remember there is no alcohol permitted on Beach Festival Grounds. -Beach Festival Committee members wil be there to guide you with parking. FIREWORKS - After the movie, spectators can leave the Beach Festival Grounds and watch the fireworks wherever they please, providing they are following all Covid 19 Rules and guidelines. If you wish to stay on the Beach Festival Grounds, please stay in your vehicle while enjoying the show. The Beach Festival committee are following all Government guidelines and restrictions. If any of the above guidelines are not too your satisfaction, please let us know ASAP. We will do whatever we can to help make this event enjoyable for all.
