Welcome Players, Coaches, Parents and Friends to the 6th annual Newmarket & District Ringette Association Ignite the Ice ringette tournament. We are very pleased to again be growing our tournament with more teams, more volunteers and more fun than ever before. We are very lucky to have our beautiful 4-Pad Magna Centre ice facility and the cooperation from the town of Newmarket to host a tournament allowing us to use all 4-pads to keep the action going all under one roof. I... would like to thank our tireless tournament chair Carolyn Haskins and the entire board of directors, and countless volunteers who have spent many hours to provide a top-notch tournament. We have had many more requests for entry than we had ice-time available. Our tournament is right-sized to provide regional play for all of our teams, and provincial play for our competitive teams. This is the first year our tournament has been also International with 3 teams from Finland who have come to play some of Ontario’s finest at the U16AA and U16A levels. Please come out to see some great ringette on our Olympic-sized ice. We will be posting all game results to the electronic score-to-stats service from our website below and will also be posting the action to our Facebook tournament site at: http://www.facebook.com/NDRA2013 - (just Like the page), come watch the pictures, video and add your comments and thoughts as play is happening. Please come and enjoy the many facilities of our town in-between games. We have one of Ontario’s largest malls, an 18 cinema movie/video game complex, In-Play, Chuck-E-Cheese, bowling, rock-climbing and nearly 200 restaurants.
