Dear patients, We are pleased to announce that starting today Thursday May 14th, regular dental care has been allowed to resume in the province of Alberta as per the government's announcement of the Phase 1 re-launch. We are no longer limited by emergency care and are now able to provide basic dental treatment once again effective immediately. However, please note that we still have protocols in place at our clinic to ensure safety of our patients and our staff. If you've h...ad any Covid19 related symptoms such as a cough or a fever, have traveled outside of the country in the last two weeks or have been in contact with someone that have tested positive for Covid19, please refrain from booking an appointment at our office until the recommended period of self isolation is completed. We will be pre-screening patients by phone and at our office. As well, we ask that you stay in your car until we call you in for treatment as we want to maintain social distancing rules at our clinic. Body temperature will be recorded upon entry to the clinic. We also will provide a mask for all patients to wear upon entry and ask for patients to wash their hands. A special peroxide rinse will be requested before any treatment is to be provided. Unfortunately the children's play area is closed off at the moment and IPADs will not be provided for entertainment as we are following strict guidelines. We apologize about the inconvenience this may bring you but we are doing our best to follow our dental college guidelines in reducing risk of spread of Covid19 to staff and patients. Thank you to all our wonderful patients that have been very supportive and understanding during these difficult times and we are thrilled to have you all back for routine care at our clinic, Dr Amr and Nebula Staff See more

Dear patients, The Alberta government has put in place a relaunch strategy recently with dental clinics opening as early as this Monday May 4th. We have had quite a few requests for treatment and wanted to clarify important items with regards to the relaunch strategy and dental care. 1) Starting from May 4th until May 14th our Alberta Dental Association and College has announced that we are able to treat "Urgent" cases in addition to "Emergencies". Urgent cases include any d...ental issues that can result in emergencies if left untreated. This also includes fillings that may have fallen out or have broken. 2) Non urgent care like cleanings may be available again after May 14th. However, we are continually monitoring guidelines and announcements from both the provincial government and our college. 3) Nothing has changed with regards to precautions that we have in place. Please note that unfortunately we may be able to still see only a handful of people a day. Expect to wait in your car and be called in to the clinic. Hand washing/sanitizing before and after the appointment. Face masks will be available upon entry and patients will be asked to use a special mouth rinse before treatment. Any patients with Flu like symptoms or have tested positive for Covid or have been in close proximity to a Covid patient, can only be treated with over prescription medication until full recovery and/or the isolation period is completed. 4) Due to the shortage of personal protective equipment and the strict guidelines in place we may be unable to see you or may have to cancel your appointment on a short notice as safety is our number one priority. We once again apologize about the inconvenience this may be to many of you and we hope that soon we can bring our service back to normal. In the meanwhile we hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Dr Amr and the Nebula Team. See more

Dear patients, In these difficult times, myself and my staff are hoping that you are all staying safe and healthy. We dearly miss each and everyone of you and cannot wait for all of this to be over so we can see you all again soon. I am posting this message to let you all know we are still here and caring for patients on emergency basis. As per our dental college guidelines we deem dental emergencies to include pain or infection that cannot be managed by medication alone. If... a filling has fallen out with no pain or you lost a mouth guard or dental appliance, sadly those do not qualify as emergencies and we are mandated not to treat those cases. We have limited but none the less the appropriate personal protective equipment and strict protocols at our office in case we do need to see you. We are open for some select hours during the week and on a case by case basis depending on staff availability. We may not be able to answer your call right away but I am personally checking voicemail and will reach out to you to address your concerns via phone. I deeply apologize of the inconvenience this is bringing to many of you but I believe that things will be back to normal soon. Keep the brushing, flossing (waterpik if you re a fan like me :)), reduce sugary snacks when you can (tough one) and please stay safe with your family out there. Until we see you all soon best wishes and prayers from the Nebula Dental Team and myself, Dr Amr See more

Important Announcement Until further notice, our clinic will be accepting emergency patients ONLY from 10 am until 1 pm Monday to Friday. To ensure the safety of our patients and our team, we are following the Alberta Dental Association and College's guidelines to temporarily suspend all non-emergency dental treatment until further notice. Emergency treatments are defined by our college to include:... - Oral or Facial Trauma - Significant Infection - Prolonged Bleeding - Pain that cannot be managed by over-the-counter drugs such as Advil/Tylenol If you are experiencing any of the above, or have any other emergency-related questions, please give us a call at 780-540-5266. We're doing everything in our capacity to continue to serve you and your families at this time. As your preferred dental provider, we thank you for understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. We strongly encourage patients to follow all public health measures so our community can remain healthy and strong. - Your Friends at Nebula Dental Clinic

When was the last time you changed the head on your electric toothbrush? Brush heads should be changed at least once every 3 months in order to keep bristles strong and maximize brushing effectiveness. Our clinic has brush heads for Sonicare and Oral B electrical brushes available for only $5 (less than half of the typical retail value). Ask us about it at your next cleaning!
