Notice: it’s come to our attention that a number of people have been riding on a regular basis without paying drop in fees or having a membership. This is disappointing as the Exhibition Society is a nonprofit organization that relies on user fees and volunteers to operate the Grounds for public benefit. Without membership and drop in fees we are unable to staff the arena, pay utilities, insurance, and all the other operating costs that come along with having a facility like ours. Arena and Society members, please ensure that if you are riding with someone who isn’t a member that they pay their drop in fees or obtain a membership. We are conducting reviews of security footage and will be touching base with those who have been riding without paying. Thank you to those who have been honest to date.

Please join us in welcoming our new and returning members of the Board of Directors. NVES Directors are elected democratically at the AGM each year and are responsible for supervising the management of the Society's affairs. Thank you all for your service to the organization and community!

Arena Notice: On Wednesday, January 27th the arena will be undergoing maintenance from 7 AM - 12 PM. The round pen will be down and tractor and bobcat work will be performed.

Just a final reminder that any tack: saddles, pads, bridles, bits, left over in the lobby from last year's sale will be removed from the lobby tomorrow. Please pick up your unsold items by tonight!

INDOOR ARENA UPDATE JANUARY 7, 2021 The B.C. Province-Wide Restrictions page has been updated today with all existing restrictions extended until February 5th including Gatherings and Events. In correspondence with our local Environmental Health Officer to ensure compliance, it remains imperative that all patrons:... Wear a mask unless you are on your horse on the arena dirt Sign in every time you ride Sign a Self-Declaration (paper in lobby) ONCE (unless an answer changes) and submit it to the office Come in, ride, and leave - do not socialize Maintain physical distancing and respect capacity posted clearly in all areas We are able to continue operations to maintain the health of our horses and only if we adhere strictly to our COVID-19 Safety Plan. We retain the right to bar admittance to any patrons who refuse to comply with these regulations. Thank you for your attention to this policy.

In January, Carolyn will have been with the NVES for 5 years. On Christmas Eve, we surprised her with an article in the Omineca Express. She would like to express her deep gratitude to the Board of Directors, patrons, and volunteers of the Nechako Valley Exhibition Grounds for their support despite her enthusiasm for PowerPoint presentations. Thank you all for a wonderful year! The future is bright.
