Neighborhood Bridges 07.01.2021

I think it’s been hard for everyone to think of things to do in the past 9 months. Covid has changed the way we liv our lives dramatically. Sometimes having a list of things to do helps. So we present NBs Winter Wonderland Scavenger Hunt!!

Up and coming holiday events!!

Neighborhood Bridges 13.12.2020

Good Morning NB Community. Our Neighborhood Bridges Community has participated in the Healthful Hamper Food Drive for the past 4 years. This year as a result of #covid19 we are not collecting non-perishable goods in order to reduce "touchpoint" and help keep the volunteers at the food bank and our community safe. However, as a community NB is participating again. Anyone of our employees that would like to donate even a $1 to the Edmonton's Food Bank please check your email ...and see your payroll options of how to donate. For anyone that is not an employee but would like to donate personally the link to donate to the food drive is below. Be sure when you enter your name put (NB) at the end of your name. That way we can keep track of which donations came from the NB community vs. other locations. Link below! https://www.canadahelps.org//5th-annual-healthful-hamper-/ Thank-you for giving the gift of a meal to those in our community that use the food bank and thank-you for helping us fight #foodinsecurity again this holiday season. jo

Better late then never. Earlier this month we had a great apple event. Small groups went and gathered apples from around the city. We made gift packs of apple ingredients and then all zoomed and made a fabulous apple crisp!! Keeping it local and keeping connected!!

Jay the Juggling Magician is an artist who strives to create true "circus magic". That priceless feeling of wonder- and the disconnect between what is and isn't "real"- is what inspires her to come up with new ideas to catch you off guard as often as she can.

I would like to take this moment to thank everyone who participated in the scavenger hunt last week! It was amazing to see all the entries and hear all the amazing songs. We had a super close race for first place! First place was won by a 5 hr difference in completing all the tasks!! Congratulations to each and every one of you. The people that participated will all be contacted this week for your places prices!!!

I think we can all appreciate the lack of things to do at home while social isolating! So we have put together an event/ activity we can all do and participate in. I am attaching a scavenger hunt / amazing race of sorts. My email is the ‘drop box’ for the pictures and entries. This is open to all community members and would love to see everyone involved!!

To our NB Community. You may have heard on the News about Edmonton's First mobile grocery store that is starting to deliver fresh food for half the price (1 person told CBC that she saved 60% of her grocery bill) to those who cannot make it to grocery stores (Ie Seniors, mobility issues, AISH etc.) They are starting out as a pop-up store every Wednesday at Clareview Community Recreation Centre from 630pm - 8pm. Definitely worth a check-out for those in our community. https...://www.cbc.ca//fresh-routes-mobile-grocery-store-1.53 Cheers!
