On Saturday, September 30th, the Neighbourhood Housing Society will be participating in a Canada wide fundraiser The Ride for Refuge which looks to aid vulnerable populations worldwide. In order to make this fundraising event a success for the Neighborhood Housing Society, we need dedicated and driven individuals to take up our cause by lacing up, strapping in and volunteering their time to walk or ride. These volunteers can walk or ride as an individual, or take the task... on as a team. Volunteers will pledge to complete a given distance on ride day, the options ranging from a 50km ride to a 5km walk. All proceeds raised by participants registered to the Neighborhood Housing Society will go towards implementing programs and services for the individuals we house and support. Our ride will raise money for the fight to end systemic homelessness, and we hope to find passionate individuals who will join us in this fight.
