One of the things I enjoy the most about being a Realtor is finding good people and businesses that my clients can rely on to do a good, trouble free job. A client of mine recently had a purse with a broken leather strap that had belonged to her mother, and she didn't think it could be repaired. To me it looked beyond repair, but I advised her to take it to Oi and Georgina at Weston Luggage Center, 316 E 1st, Van, just off Great Northern Way (604-685-9749). Oi did an absolutely incredible job on the bag and my client had it back in 1 day. It took me 10 minutes to figure out which of the 4 strap connections was the one she repaired. I have refered to this company before and they do incredible work on all kinds of leather/luggage products. Give them a try! Tell them Neil sent you!

(REPEAT OF POST SENT BY MISTAKE TO PERSONAL PAGE) Rainscreening is perhaps the most important consideration when buying a condo or townhome in the Lower Mainland. While some of you may not remember the leaky condo crisis, it is still an important factor when buying a home. In recent months, I have seen 3 more condos go under the tarps for remediation with costs to suite owners of $45,000 and up. This is not something anyone needs! I have never shown my clients suites in thes...e three buildings, because I believed 10 years ago they were going to be problematic. Do not make the mistake of falling in love with a suite, and not considering the state of a building. Non rainscreened or partially rainscreened buildings can be risky. In most buildings you can tell rainscreening by just looking at it. You will note that in some of the photos, you can observe a metal strip along many of the walls, just under the windows or along bare walls. This metal strip allows any water normally trapped behind the wall to exit the structure, while allowing it to dry out. You will note in all these photos that there is rainscreening on some walls and not others. These are partially rainscreened buildings. I will provide a more detailed description of how rainscreening works in a future post. See more
