New rules for the Hastings-Prince Edward area Please note that Dr. Oglaza is asking local businesses to refrain from providing services to individuals from outside our community. This, coupled with other new measures for re-opening, will allow our Bay of Quinte region to keep our COVID numbers low. Read all the new measures in the article below:
Update: Due to the Ontario government's new State of Emergency announcement, my Belleville Constituency office will be closed for the foreseeable future. Update on new border measures PM Trudeau has announced that as of Monday, February 15th, any individual returning to Canada will be required to show a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours of crossing the border. Travelers can then make their way home or to an appropriate facility to quarantine for 14 days. More details in the article below:

In case you missed Premier Ford's press conference - our Hastings-Prince Edward region will be moving to a gradual reopening as of this Wednesday, February 10th. While it's certainly exciting news, this doesn't mean that COVID protocols go out the window! Keep social distancing, handwashing, wearing those masks, and we'll get through this together Bay of Quinte.

Our Bay of Quinte community is showing some good signs of COVID management, however with numbers trending up Province-wide now is not the time to become complacent! To keep numbers low, we need to social distance wash our hands wear a mask limit contact with others as much as possible

It was a privilege to join PM Justin Trudeau and Minister Lawrence MacAulay in a meeting today to thank WWII veteran Austin Fuller for his incredible service to our Canadian Armed Forces. Mr. Fuller is the last surviving WWII veteran from The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte community, who served with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment in the battlefields of Europe. Thank you to PM Trudeau, Minister MacAulay for taking time to honour Mr. Fuller's great legacy of service.
