We are excited to inform you that NELCE (North East London Community Engagement) has re-branded! As part of the London InterCommunity Health Centre, our NELCE organization has been active in our North East London community for the past 13 years and hope to do so for many more. NELCE, like all organizations, is organic and has changed over time. However, we continue to be a resident-based, action-oriented community group, focused on strengthening and improving our community ...of North East London. Through our work, we: - Promote and develop a strong sense of community pride and participation - Provide opportunities to develop personal growth and leadership within our community - Encourage involvement across diverse community - Support community partnership within North East London After 13 years, we felt it was time to update our image with a new logo, masthead, and tag line. Our new logo and tag line represent the continuum of how we hope to engage residents PARTICIPATE in one of our programs and/or events, get involved as a VOLUNTEER, and then take a LEADership position. These will appear on all our communications, promotional materials, and swag items in the future. We look forward to spreading the word about NELCE and our community's continuing efforts to serve and improve our North East London community. Please watch for our new logo and stay tuned for upcoming events!

Yes, at last! First meeting this year of the NELCE Thursday evening walking club. Currently meeting behind the washroom block at Ed Blake Park starting 6.30pm each Thursday weather permitting. Socially distancing and masks if desired so we keep eachother safe and enjoy about a 5km walk together.

We can finally get back into JP2 garden but we need help getting the weeds under control. I sure hope I can depend on our great volunteers to help :) Will be going back Wed. evening to get started on the weeds.
