After clearing away Christmas, my kitchen desktop is getting a makeover...this sweet ceramic tugged at my heart when I saw it before the holidays @antiquesoncreek ..it reminded me of the connection between my son and his dog Bella...it was originally wired as a lamp, but was too large for the space I wanted it for...I’m working on this today and hope it will photograph better..the dead light all week has been a challenge..

I think this is National Houseplant Week, I love how we celebrate everything here on IG...I’m not a big indoor plant enthusiast... I need to be more patient about fussing with plants, and prefer to grow them outdoors...however , this fall I brought in this beautiful Kimberly Queen fern from the garden, hopeful it would survive the winter indoors... well it is loving its spot here in the garden room and sends up new fronds every week... we had to move the table forward to accommodate it’s new girth!

This is how very little it takes right now to get me excited... taking down Christmas, I saw how beautifully the ivy branches from the garden , had dried perfectly... indoors.. who knew! When I started arranging flowers, years ago at Acorn Lane, that’s how I started...I still love dried botanicals...
