BC Family day book walk is active on the Great Northern Rail Trail (Mountain Station location) this weekend! It’s chilly AND fun, dress warm and spend time with your family. The other planned locations, Crescent Valley Beach trail, Taghum Beach Regional trail and Slocan Park trail are postponed until Saturday February 20th. We apologize for any inconvenience. To celebrate BC Family Day, the RDCK has created a Book Walk running from February 12th through February 21st at three different locations. A book walk is a sel...f-guided interactive activity where a children’s story, page by page, is placed along a popular walking route. The three different book walk locations include, Crescent Valley Beach Trail (1277 Highway 6), Taghum Beach Regional Park Trail (Granite Road), and Great Northern Rail Trail (1105 Mountain Station Road). The RDCK has received lots of feedback in regards to the closures of Pioneer Arena in Castlegar and the Civic Centre Arena in Nelson.
