It is a beautiful sunrise on the renovation/addition to Lake Trail Middle School in Courtenay. The frost-covered 2-ply SBS membrane is installed over tapered polyisocyanurate insulation to create the 2% slope we look for in flat roofing. Our qualified sheet metal cladding crew have been working on the wall siding, and they will install the finishing cap flashing as they go, as the metal work can continue through the winter months. This roofing project is being 3rd party ins...pected by qualified RRO’s (Registered Roof Observer) and guaranteed by the Roofing Contractors Association of BC (RCABC). The new fire hall will resolve significant operational safety and structural issues at the existing facility, and will have the capacity to house modern equipment and space for safe personnel and apparatus preparation during a fire response. The post-disaster building will also serve as Cumberland’s emergency operations centre with the new building designed to withstand higher seismic forces that non-post disaster buildings.
