Last day with the Junior crew yesterday before the holidays. These kids are all so awesome, we hope to see them all back again if we are curling in the New Year. Thanks to Kristina Little, Nathan Small, and Cathy McLeod for helping coach these guys!

Nelson Curling Club's very own Nathan Small (Team Robillard) is competing this weekend in the Ashley Homestore Curling Classic in Penticton. The Nelson Curling Club hosted its first midsummer bonspiel - which became hugely popular and attracted teams from across the country. It ran for 50 years.

While we won't see much curling on TV this year, many of the events that are still running are doing their own online streaming. You can catch some of the top Canadian womens teams compete this weekend in the Okotoks Ladies Classic in Alberta where Kerri Einarson, Jennifer Jones, Casey Scheidegger, Rachel Homan, and BC's very own Corryn Brown will battle it out for gold! While we eagerly await our club to open this week, one of our very own (Nathan Small on Team Robillard) has been competing on the World Curling Tour and has qualified for the playoffs at the event in Kelowna this weekend. Good luck in the playoffs! We'll be cheering for you!
